Teaching Methodology
The course includes didactic workshops in which each student will be able to work for the purpose of completing formative exercises that will provide hands-on experience in the use of the instrument, for each of the topics covered during the course.
Audience
Tier 1 Administrators and architects for VMware Horizon should enroll in this course. These individuals are responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and administration of an organization’s end-user computing infrastructure.
Prerequisites
Attendees should have, at a minimum, the following VMware infrastructure skills:
ā¢ Use VMware vSphereĀ® Web Client to view the state of virtual machines, datastores, and networks
ā¢ Open a virtual machine console on VMware vCenter ServerĀ® and access the guest operating system
ā¢ Create snapshots of virtual machines
ā¢ Configure guest customization specifications
ā¢ Modify virtual machine properties
ā¢ Convert a virtual machine into a template
ā¢ Deploy a virtual machine from a template
Attendees should also have the following Microsoft Windows system administration experience:
ā¢ Configure Active Directory services, including DNS, DHCP, and time synchronization
ā¢ Restrict user activities by implementing Group Policy objects
ā¢ Configure Windows systems to enable Remote Desktop Connections
ā¢ Build an ODBC connection to an SQL Server database
