The Security+ course  provides the foundations on the fundamental concepts of cybersecurity and prepares for the exam to achieve the  CompTIA Security+ SY0-601 vendor neutral international certification .
The  CompTIA Security+ international certification  validates the foundational skills required to perform critical security functions and enables you to pursue a  career in IT security . It is the only certification that evaluates performance through performance based exam questions.
The course combines theory lessons  and  labs in virtual environments to best prepare you for the certification exam.

Teaching methodology
The course includes educational laboratories in which each student will be able to work in order to complete training exercises that will provide practical experience in using the instrument, for each of the topics covered during the course.
Prerequisites
CompTIA Network+ certification or two years of IT administration experience with a focus on information security are preferred to participate in this course.
Educational program
MODULO 1 – Threats, Attacks, and Vulnerabilities
Compare different types of social engineering techniques, analyze potential indicators to determine the type of attack, analyze potential indicators associated with application attacks, analyze potential indicators associated with network attacks, explain different threat actors, vectors and sources of intelligence, explain the security problems associated with the various types of vulnerabilities, summarize the techniques used in security assessments, explain the techniques used in penetration testing.

MODULO 2 – Architecture and Design
Explain the importance of security concepts in a business environment, summarize the concepts of virtualization and cloud computing, summarize the concepts of secure application development, deployment and automation, summarize the concepts of authentication and authorization design, implement security resilience computer science, explain the security implications of embedded and specialized systems, explain the importance of physical security controls, summarize the basics of cryptographic concepts.

MODULO 3 – Implementation
Implement secure protocols, host or application security solutions, secure network designs, install and configure wireless security settings, implement secure mobile solutions, apply cloud cybersecurity solutions, implement identity controls and account management, authentication and authorization, public key infrastructure.

MODULO 4 – Operations and Incident Response
Use the appropriate tool to assess organizational security, summarize the importance of incident response policies, processes and procedures, in the event of an incident, use appropriate data sources to support an investigation, apply mitigation techniques or controls to secure an environment, explain the key aspects of digital forensics.

MODULO 5 -Governance, Risk, and Compliance
Compare and contrast various types of controls, explain the importance of applicable regulations, standards or regulatory frameworks that impact the organization’s security posture, explain the importance of policies for organizational security, summarize processes and concepts risk management, explain the concepts of privacy and sensitive data in relation to security.
