Planning and deployment of SAP in Azure
This course shows IT professionals experienced with SAP solutions how to leverage Azure resources that include deployment and configuration of virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, and Azure AD, which includes deployment and management of hybrid identities. Students in this course will learn through concepts, scenarios, procedures and hands-on exercises how to best plan and implement the migration and operation of an SAP solution in Azure. You will receive guidance on subscriptions and be able to create and scale virtual machines, deploy storage solutions, configure virtual networking, backup and share data, connect Azure and local sites, manage network traffic, implement Azure Active Directory, secure identities, and monitor your solution.

Teaching Methodology
The course includes didactic workshops in which each student will be able to work for the purpose of completing formative exercises that will provide hands-on experience in the use of the instrument, for each of the topics covered during the course.
Who should attend
This course is for Azure administrators responsible for migrating and managing SAP solutions in Azure. Azure administrators manage cloud services that include storage, network and compute cloud capabilities, with a deep understanding of each service across the entire IT lifecycle. They receive end-user requests for new cloud applications and offer on services to use for optimal performance and scalability, as well as provisioning, sizing, monitoring, and modifying as needed. This role requires communication and coordination with vendors. Azure administrators use the Azure portal and, as they become more experienced, use PowerShell and the command-line interface.
Prerequisites
Before participating in this course, students must have:
Hands-on experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions, including virtual machine, virtual network, load balancing, storage resources (BLOBs, files, disks).
Understanding of local and cloud virtualization technologies, including virtual machines, virtual networks, and virtual hard drives.
Understanding of network configuration, including TCP/IP, Domain Name System (DNS), virtual private networks (VPNs), firewalls, and encryption technologies.
Understanding of Active Directory concepts
Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
Extensive knowledge of SAP applications, SAP HANA, S/4HANA, SAP NetWeaver, SAP BW, OS servers for SAP applications and databases.
Understanding of SAP HANA deployment and configuration.
Hands-on experience with SAP HANA administration.
Knowledge/Skills Outcome
The course aims to provide IT professionals experienced with SAP solutions with the knowledge and skills needed to leverage Azure resources for deploying and configuring virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts and Azure AD. Students will learn how to best plan and implement the migration and operation of an SAP solution in Azure, using concepts, scenarios, procedures and hands-on exercises. The course also covers Azure Active Directory implementation, identity protection, and solution management and monitoring. At the end of the course, students will be able to apply these skills to implement SAP solutions on Azure effectively and securely.
