Microsoft Cloud Workshop: SAP HANA on Azure
In this Microsoft Azure seminar, attendees will provision a highly available deployment of SAP HANA in Azure. During the design session, you will review the planning process for SAP HANA migration and deployment. You will identify and implement the Azure infrastructure components required to support a clustered deployment of SAP HANA.

Teaching methodology
The course includes educational laboratories in which each student will be able to work in order to complete training exercises that will provide practical experience in using the instrument, for each of the topics covered during the course.
Who should participate
This seminar is aimed at Cloud Architects and IT professionals who have experience in architecture and design of infrastructure and solutions in cloud technologies and want to learn more about Azure services.
Prerequisites
Participants in this seminar should also have experience in other non-Microsoft cloud technologies, meet the course prerequisites, and be willing to cross-train on Azure.
Objectives of the Course
- Design high availability for SAP HANA workloads on Azure virtual machines
- Design disaster recovery for SAP HANA workloads on Azure VMs
- Provide a highly available deployment of SAP HANA on Azure.
During the design session, you will review the planning process for SAP HANA deployment and migration. You will identify and implement the Azure infrastructure components required to support a clustered deployment of SAP HANA.
You will also go through installing SAP HANA and configuring SAP HANA system replication. Finally, you will review and test different scenarios involving manual and automatic failover between cluster nodes.
